Travel Medicine

Travel medicine is mainly intended to facilitate prevention during short or long-term touristic, professional, and/or family stay in regions where access to medical resources is variable.

One of the cornerstones is vaccination and drug prophylaxis against malaria, but also specialized advice adapted to travelers of all ages and types of stay.

Travel medicine also takes care of all pathologies upon returning from travel.

    Pre-travel consultation

  • Center approved by the OFSP for vaccination against yellow fever
  • Advice on compulsory vaccinations
  • Basic vaccination recommended ubiquitously (tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, pneumococcus, seasonal flu, meningoencephalitis ticks)
  • Recommended targeted vaccination (hepatitis A, ACWY meningitis, typhoid fever, rabies, Japanese encephalitis) according to the traveler, destination, type and length of stay
  • Malaria counseling and prophylaxis
  • Targeted advice on pathologies, the health needs of the traveler (pregnancy, baby, child, immunosuppression, advanced age) and their activities, as well as on health and environmental aspects
  • Advice on high altitude medicine
  • Duplicate of lost vaccination cards
  • Trip return consultation

  • Any pathology following a stay abroad (fever, diarrhea, skin problems, animal bite, envenomation, etc.)

Refund

Please note that the pre-travel consultation is only reimbursed by certain complimentary insurances. In the professional context, the costs are generally borne by the employer.
